How to Recharge My Disposable Vape

Disposable vape pens have become increasingly popular over the last two years, offering a convenient way to vape on the go. If you have recently purchased a disposable vape or are thinking about buying one online, you might be wondering how you go about charging this type of device. Keep reading to discover how to charge a rechargeable disposable vape to make the most of this tool in the future.

Can You Recharge a Disposable Vape?

In order to discover whether you can recharge a disposable vape, you need to know the difference between a rechargeable and a non-rechargeable disposable electronic cigarette. When you purchase a rechargeable disposable vape, it will come with a charging port built in. On the other hand, a non-rechargeable disposable vape is designed to last for a maximum of 3,000 puffs but can’t be recharged or reused following this point. Naturally, this product needs a much more powerful battery in order to run for this long, so they are usually more expensive to purchase. If your disposable vape comes with a charging port, you’ll be able to recharge it, saving yourself money instead of buying another device to use.

How to Recharge a Disposable Vape

Recharging a disposable vape is a quick and easy task. All you’ll need to get started is a micro USB male-to-male cord and a USB outlet to plug the device into. You may already have one of these cords around your home, as they are commonly used to charge phones and headphones, but they can also be purchased inexpensively online or in stores.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to recharge your disposable vape pen:

  • Remove the cap at the bottom of your rechargeable disposable vape pen
  • Place the micro USB male end into the device
  • Plug the other end of the charging cable into a USB port, and you’ll be ready to start the charging process.

Safety Tips to Keep in Mind When Charging a Disposable Vape

As with charging any type of electronic device, you’ll want to keep certain safety tips in mind in order to safely charge your disposable vape pen. Some vape pens are not designed to be recharged, so you should never plug these into a USB charging device. Whenever you are removing the cap from your vape pen or fiddling about with the charging port, make sure you are careful not to accidentally remove any safety items. The black sensor protector always needs to be returned to its original position so that you can safely use your vape without any risks to your health.

Using a power bank is the safest way to charge a disposable vape pen. You’ll want to be careful when plugging your device into the wall, as you could risk electrocuting yourself. Be careful if you do open up your device at any point, as you need to be aware that the titanium battery can be dangerous to handle. E-juice also shouldn’t get anywhere near your hands, or you may find that they become stained.

How Often Should You Recharge a Disposable Vape Pen?

When you first purchase your new rechargeable disposable vape, it will usually come with some battery. In order to know when it’s time to recharge the device, the first thing to look out for is a reduction in the amount of vape produced. This usually happens after about 500-600 puffs, when the taste will start to be much weaker. Some devices also come with an LED light, which will indicate that the battery is low by flashing.

How Long Will It Take to Recharge a Disposable Vape Pen?

The length of time you’ll need to put aside to recharge a disposable vape will depend on a number of factors. Firstly, the battery capacity of the device will impact the charging time and then the charging port you use. If your disposable vape pen has an LED light on the side which turns green, then this is a clear indication that it’s once again ready to be used.

Using an Android vs an Apple Charger

When using a disposable vape pen with an Android charging interface, a micro charging cable and a charger are all you’ll need to get started. With an Apple charger, make sure you have a Type-C charging cable and the charger to get started. Both of these options will effectively recharge your disposable vape.

ResQBattery Review – A Thumb-sized Disposable Battery Charger for Android

ResQBattery is a.sized disposable battery with a micro-USB interface that plugs directly into mobile devices, thereby offering some charge to extend the battery life for up to five hours. This thumb-sized charger can come in handy in emergency situations to jump-start a discharged smartphone battery while you’re out camping or stuck halfway during an electricity outage. resQbattery with a 1300mAh battery capacity is made from eco-friendly materials and is completely safe to use. The USP lies in the comfort of using it – just switch it on and plugin. BOOM, it will start charging your phone right away!

Build Design –

The ResQBattery is a compact, lightweight, and cool-looking portable charger. It sports a premium and solid build that feels really nice to hold. We’re pretty surprised as we didn’t expect the build to be so impressive considering it’s a single-use emergency phone charger that is literally dead after running out of battery juice. A nice little on/off switch sits over it to start or stop charging and a LED indicator is there to notify while the charger is in use. The micro-USB pin is a bit long in length, probably to let it use easily on phones fitted with a protective case. Either side of the charger boasts a sweet dimple in the center that helps to easily plugin and plug it out.

Comes in over 10 eye-candy colors such as Green, Yellow, Blue, Red, Pink, etc.

Battery Life –

Packed inside is a 1300mAh non-rechargeable Lithium battery that has a shelf life of 5 years. The output voltage is stated to be 5V @ 1Amp, 3.9WH which looks good on paper but we found the charging speed to be very slow during our test. We plugged in a new ResQBattery on our Asus Zenfone Max with a 5000mAh battery with 15% battery remaining and here is its charging cycle:

– 15% at 1:09PM – 23% at 1:51PM – 27% at 2:16PM – 28% at 2:34PM – 29% at 3:21PM

The charger couldn’t charge the phone any further after charging its battery by up to 14%. As you can calculate, it took around 2hrs 10m to charge 14% of the battery which isn’t too bad and not great either. The company claims that the charge can serve a talk time of up to 5 hours which we feel is somewhat true unless you use the device intensely which one obviously won’t do in emergency situations. The product can be used multiple times until its battery drains out. We noticed the Led light tends to light up even after it’s discharged which shows that some charge is still left but that isn’t sufficient to charge the phone. For those concerned, ResQBattery is approved by FCC and CE.

Verdict –

At first instance, the question arises why one would consider buying a charger that’s meant for one-time use only. But one shouldn’t confuse it with a power bank as ResQBattery is a disposable gadget ready for immediate use that can come to rescue in real-life emergency situations when one feels helpless. The product is easy to carry along and works pretty good but it’d have been better if it offered a good charging speed and higher capacity battery. What’s impressive is its 5 years shelf life as one can carry it along during an unplanned adventurous trip. After it’s dead, the cute little thing can flaunt as a showpiece on your desk. We’re told that the next version will have a capacity of at least 1800mAh which sounds promising. Pricing – A set of two ResQBattery is being currently sold on Amazon, eBay, and eBags for 11.99 with free shipping.
