How To Charge HP Laptop With Power Bank

If your HP laptop is running low on power, you can use a power bank to charge it. Power banks are portable batteries that can be used to charge most laptops. You can even use them to charge your phone or tablet if you need to.

You can also use a power bank to charge your laptop when there’s no power outlet in sight. This is especially useful if you’re traveling or camping and don’t want to carry around an extra charger for your laptop.

To use a power bank with your HP laptop:

First, plug the micro USB end of the cable into the charging port on the bottom of your HP laptop. If you have an older model of HP laptop, it will have this type of connection rather than USB-C or Thunderbolt ports.

Then plug the other end into the charging port on your power bank and start charging.

How To Charge HP Laptop With Power Bank

HP laptops are great, but sometimes you find yourself without a charger. It’s not the end of the world—you can still charge your HP laptop with a power bank!

-Micro USB charging cable (if you don’t already have one)

Step 1: Plug in the power bank and wait for it to fully charge. This may take a while, so be patient!

Step 2: Plug the micro USB end into your HP laptop, and then plug the other end into your power bank. The power button should light up green to indicate that it’s charging. If it’s not working at first, try wiggling things around a bit to make sure they are secure—this can help with poor connections that might cause problems later on.

Step 3: Wait for the battery level indicator on your laptop to show how much power is left in your new battery pack. Congratulations—you’ve saved yourself from having to find an outlet somewhere.

Imagine you’re headed out of town for a weekend getaway. Maybe you’re going to a friend’s destination wedding or a family trip to the beach, or perhaps it’s camping with your friends. You decide to bring your laptop with you because it’ll be nice to stream movies, get some work done, or play a PC game in your downtime. A laptop can help you feel at home when you’re away from home.

Oops! When you’re unpacking in your hotel room, you realize that you’ve forgotten to pack your laptop charger (or worse yet, you accidentally leave it in the airport power outlet). Your laptop only has a 10% charge left, so it looks like you’re going to have to do without it on this trip. That essential email to the boss will have to wait.

But wait! It doesn’t have to be that way. Believe it or not, you can actually charge your laptop without a standard laptop charger. It’s really quite easy to do, and you should learn how to do it if you’re a fellow 21st-century dweller who feels compelled to take your laptop with you anytime you hit the road.

How to charge a laptop without a charger

Every laptop is built with an internal battery. To get the battery charged, you’ve just got to supply it with some electricity. Most of the time, we plug our laptop into a power outlet in our home, and the electricity travels through the cable and into the battery.

A laptop charger is arguably the most effective way to transfer power to your laptop battery, but there are other ways to do it, too. All you need is:

Can you charge a laptop with USB?

One of the most common questions I get is “can I charge my laptop with a USB connector?” This actually depends on the type of USB port you have on your laptop.

USB TYPE A IS A NON-STARTER

If you are currently using a wired mouse or wired keyboard and you unplug one of them you’ll see that there’s a rectangular connector at the end of the cord; the metal piece that you insert into the computer. This is called a Type A connector.

It’s the most common USB connector, and whenever someone says “USB” you can reasonably assume they’re referring to USB Type A. Most likely, your cell phone charger has a USB Type A connection, too. Unfortunately, while you can use Type A to power Smart devices, you can’t use it to power your laptop.

Type A can exchange a sizeable amount of data, but it’s not capable of transferring the huge amount of power that’s needed to replenish your laptop battery. Type A just can’t deliver enough wattage.

USB TYPE C IS A POWER-FULL ALLY

However, USB 3.1 introduced a new kind of connector called USB Type C, or “USB-C.” Unlike Type A, USB-C has more of an oval shape. It’s designed for high-wattage connectivity, which means it can transfer far more power than Type A can, and at faster speeds. Much faster:

USB4 will be released in 2019, and the accompanying USB-C connector can transfer data at speeds up to 40 Gbit/s.

Long story short, you can’t charge your laptop with USB Type A, but you can charge your laptop with USB-C.

How to charge a laptop with USB-C

If your laptop has a built-in USB-C port, then you’ll be able to charge your laptop via a USB-C cable – you just have to make sure the cable has a plug adapter (the box-shaped plug at the end of your phone charger than can plug into an outlet). Some laptops, in fact, use a USB-C cable as the primary charger.

  • Plug one end of the USB-C cord into an outlet
  • Plug the other end of the USB-C cord into your laptop

That’s it! Easy as pie, so long as you have access to a USB-C cord. But that’s the glaring problem – what if you don’t have access to one? Unfortunately, ordering a USB-C cable wouldn’t be any easier than ordering a new laptop charger. And making a stop at a computer supply store may not be possible, especially if you are stuck on a Caribbean island for that destination wedding weekend.

PLAN AHEAD FOR OPTIONS

But if you’re in the market for a new laptop, you might seriously consider getting one that has at least one USB-C port. The USB-C connector is rapidly gaining popularity. It’s safe to assume that in the future, most laptops will come with USB-C ports, and we might even see the elimination of USB Type A altogether. The point is, more people in the future are likely to have USB-C cables, so there will be a better chance that someone can lend you one if you lose yours on a trip. Currently, you’d have to find someone who happens to have the exact same kind of laptop charger has you do, which may prove more difficult.

How to charge your laptop in a car

A car has electricity, right? And whether you are on a road trip in your own vehicle, or renting a car when your airplane lands, you can take advantage of the power it produces. It’s fairly straightforward to use it to charge your laptop. You’re going to need two things, though:

How To Charge Your HP Laptop With A Power Bank

Almost all of us have been in a situation where our phone is about to die and we desperately search for a charger. However, what do you do when your laptop is running out of juice and you’re nowhere near a power outlet? This is where a power bank comes in handy. A power bank is essentially a portable charger that can be used to charge your devices on the go. So, how do you charge your HP laptop with a power bank? First, you’ll need to find a power bank that is compatible with your laptop. Make sure to check the voltage and amperage rating of the power bank before making a purchase. Once you have a compatible power bank, simply connect your laptop to the power bank using a USB cable. Most power banks have multiple USB ports, so you may need to use an adapter if your laptop only has one port. Once your laptop is connected, press the power button on the power bank to start charging. Depending on the size of the power bank, it may take some time to fully charge your laptop. That’s all there is to it! Charging your HP laptop with a power bank is a quick and easy way to keep your device powered up when you’re on the go.

With the HP Power Pack 7500 mAh Power Bank (Black, Li-ion), you can charge your device quickly and easily. You can recharged your laptop or AC outlet by plugging it into an outlet. Depending on the model, it is possible to charge a laptop from a maximum of 105 watts to 135 watts. Here are some lightweight but powerful portable charging devices to consider. On average, a power bank should provide at least 80W of power, which is sufficient for most applications. The Veger 20,000 mAh Type-C Power Bank (P1,899) is available in an 8GB capacity. There is no guarantee that USB-C chargers will be compatible in the future.

There is a chance that the power cable is faulty if the connections are adequate but the power bank is still not charging. As a result, a power cable with poor quality can have an effect on the charging rate.

It is possible to charge your laptop via a USB-C cable if your laptop has a built-in USB-C port; simply ensure that the cable is equipped with a plug adapter (the box-shaped plug that plugs into your phone charger than plugs into a USB port). USB-C cables can be used as primary charger in some laptops.

If your phone charger has the same voltage as your laptop charger, then yes, you can charge your laptop with your phone charger. If the voltage is different, then no, you cannot charge your laptop with your phone charger.

Because they are electronic devices, laptops should be charged fairly frequently. The most common method is to use a laptop’s charger to do so. It is not possible to simply plug a phone charger into your laptop. It depends on the type of phone charger you have, as well as the amount of accessories you require. A Type-B USB port is rarely found on a laptop. Type-C is one of the newer USB ports found on more advanced laptops and devices. Because older laptops are generally only charged with their manufacturer’s official charger, they are unlikely to be charged with a compatible charger.

Because these devices lack Type-A ports, it is not possible to charge them with a mobile charger. It is designed to charge a smaller phone battery than a larger laptop battery, rather than a larger one. The battery can be charged in a matter of minutes, but it will take much longer. When it comes to charging devices, such as laptops, charger functions are similar to how they are designed to provide a specific amount of power at a specific speed. You may be able to charge your laptop with a phone charger under certain conditions. Your laptop must have a port that is compatible with the phone charger that you have. If your laptop is more than four years old, you are less likely to be able to charge it with a Type-C USB phone charger.

As a result, you may be able to use a power bank to charge your laptop, but it is important to remember that the power bank does not provide the same level of charging as the official charger included with your laptop. Before you use your power bank to charge your laptop, make sure you understand the instructions on it, as not all power banks are created equal. If you’re traveling and don’t have access to an outlet, or if you simply want to conserve energy, the power bank is an excellent option for charging your laptop. Make sure your power bank is compatible with your computer and that the instructions are clear before using it.

You Can Now Charge Your Laptop With A USB-c Charge

Your laptop should be able to charge with a USB-C charging port and a USB-C charger that supports charging with that port, according to the instructions on the charging port. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind as you go through the process. Make sure the charger’s wattage is high enough for your laptop. Your laptop’s connector should be compatible with the charger’s connector. Finally, if your laptop includes a built-in power bank, make sure to use the correct power adapter.

It is critical that the system has sufficient power and/or output. The typical laptop consumes 30 to 70 watts per hour. USB-C delivery ports have been introduced as a new industry standard for laptop charging ports. If you’re using an older laptop, make sure the charging port is compatible with your preferred power bank. Some laptop manufacturers have proprietary charging ports or have limited charging slots, particularly for thinner models. When fully charged, the 13-inch MacBook Air has a 5,100 mAh battery, which indicates how much energy it has left over. If you intend to charge this laptop model twice in a day, you should consider a power bank rated at at least twice the capacity of the laptop.

Can You Charge Your Laptop Using A USB-c Charger And Power Bank?

Nonetheless, there are some key points to keep in mind. First and foremost, the power output of a USB-C charger will differ depending on the model of laptop and the power bank you are using. The second distinction between USB-C and USB-A chargers is that USB-C laptops do not come with all USB-A chargers. Finally, even if the power bank is fully charged, some laptops may be unable to take full advantage of the USB-C charging port, particularly if they are not fully charged. So, if you want to charge your laptop using a USB-C charger and power bank, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Before you begin charging, ensure that your devices and chargers are compatible.

Can you charge a laptop with a phone charger? It’s fine if you’re carrying a charger for your phone. The USB-C and power banks are also available to charge your laptop.

To be considered a practical power source, your laptop must be large enough to support a large battery. It’s best to use a power bank that has 10,000 mAh or more capacity. It is best to invest in a universal adapter for older laptops because it comes with interchangeable tips that should be compatible with the port of your laptop. Because of variations in voltage and amperage, universal adapters are more prone to failure.

Power bank for laptops : the complete guide 2021

External powerbank batteries for phones and smartphones are already well known. but did you know that they now also exist for computers? This article covers everything you need to know to choose the right battery for your use!

Tired of being dependent on an outlet whenever you want to work for more than an hour on your laptop? Are you looking for a convenient and portable charging solution for your laptop? You are not alone. Fortunately, portable powerbanks for laptops have only recently come to market.

Laptop power banks are not as common as power banks for cell phones and tablets. Perhaps because most people simply find an outlet in a coffee shop to charge their laptops. Probably also because laptop charging technology has been slow to standardize, not making it easy to develop standard portable external batteries for laptops

Sunslice was one of the first portable charging players to include a laptop powerbank in its energy anywhere lineup.

Laptop chargers are hard to find and don’t always work. Some are even too big and heavy to carry, so it’s best to go to a coffee shop and pay for a cup of coffee or charge at an airport or train station when you travel.

To make up for this and for, Sunslice offers 3 portable external laptop batteries. The Gravity 45. the Gravity 100 and the Gravity 144. Their features, such as capacity, power and charging protocol differ to ensure a charging solution for all types of laptops. So it’s important to understand these differences before making your choice.

USB-C laptop portable battery (for laptops that charge via USB-C)

Many modern laptops have USB-C power for charging. For example, Apple’s new MacBook computers charge via a USB-C cable. This is becoming commonplace on new laptops, especially lightweight and thin models. There are also innovations from Sony, Asus, HP, Acer, Lenovo, etc. But the majority of their models, still require a power port that is not USB-C Type. For these models, see the next section.

If your laptop can charge by USB-C PD (PD stands for Power Delivery, i.e. Power Supply), you can plug in a portable battery that supports USB-C PD and charge it with that powerbank. But you can’t use just any battery: you’ll need one that offers sufficient charging speed (Watts) and voltage (Volt) to charge your laptop as well as sufficient capacity (mAh) to fill it. Small portable batteries designed to charge smartphones often offer neither in sufficient quantity for a laptop. The choice of cable is also important. The weight of the charger is usually a factor when you plan to use your laptop battery on treks and hikes, but also if you plan to carry it in your backpack in everyday life.

USB-C PD power supply

A battery designed to charge a laptop may be a bit heavier, but it can still fit in a backpack or laptop bag.

Both the Gravity 45 and Gravity 100 support USB-C through their USB-C PD output ports.

Therefore, both of these batteries can charge your laptop if it also has a USB-C PD power port. Just make sure that this is the case.

Beware, USB-C ports are also used for other functionalities such as data transfer (when you plug a USB flash drive or hard drive into your laptop for example). So check if the USB-C port you identified is used for power and not just for data transfer. In general, the power port is the port that is closest to your screen (on the left or right). Here’s an example of a USB-C port that’s only used for data transfer. The power port is not Type.C.

Power supply

As mentioned above, you also need to have enough power that your external computer battery is ready to deliver. The Gravity 45 provides a maximum power output of 45 watts. The Gravity 100 provides 100 Watts of power.

In case your laptop requires 60 Watts of USB-C PD power, the Gravity 45, will not suffice, unlike the Gravity 100.

External laptop battery capacity

The capacity of your PC powerbank is an important, though not limiting, factor in choosing a charger. Computer capacities vary greatly from one computer to another. The Gravity 45 has a capacity of 20,000 mAh (74Wh) and will allow for an average of 1.5 computer charges. The Gravity 100 has a capacity of 26,800 mAh (99Wh) and will therefore allow for an average of 2 computer loads. They weigh 485g and 539g respectively. These weights correspond to the lowest weights in relation to their capacities

The two batteries are allowed in the cabin in the plane, having a capacity (in Wh, see article) less than 100Wh. This is not the case for all computer powerbanks.

Choosing a good USB-C to USB-C cable

Of course, you need to get the right cable. Not all USB-C to USB-C cables are suitable for charging computers. You need a USB-C to USB-C cable capable of supporting USB-C PD charging and supporting a supply voltage higher than 18V. A cable is provided in the box with our computer chargers. High power cables (100Watts) are also available here.

Non-USB-C laptop portable battery (for laptops that do not charge via USB-C)

The majority of laptops do not have a USB-C PD power port. They then have their own charging protocols. A large portion of external laptop batteries are not suitable for these computers and the choice can be complicated. The Gravity 100 is then an ideal solution. It is important to read the rest of this section to fully understand how it works.

The Gravity 45 is unfortunately not automatically compatible with computers with a power port other than USB-C.

Power Supply

The power supply needed is one of the limiting factors in choosing your laptop charger. If your charger does not allow the necessary power, it is not suitable. If this one, on the other hand, allows for more power than your computer requires, there’s no need to worry. This battery is well compatible with your computer and by communicating during the charge, the power and adequate supply voltage will be imposed by the computer to the battery (and not the other way around!)

Sunslice therefore offers the Gravity 100, which can provide power up to 100 Watts. Almost all laptops require less power (between 35 Watts and 85 Watts). The Gravity 100 can therefore charge all of these devices requiring a suitable cable.

Choosing a compatible USB cable

The most complicated part is then choosing a good power cable. There are different types of cables available on our site that can charge a wide range of computers. In case you are not sure, please feel free to contact us.

USB-C to USB-C cable

USB-C to USB-C laptop cable allows charging of computers that require a USB-C power port and charging less than 100 Watts. Beware that not all USB-C cables allow for charging computers. In fact, there are USB-C to USB-C cables as well as USB-A to USB-C cables for charging phones only. A proper cable comes in the box with the Gravity 100. An ultra-fast charging cable (e-MARK 100 Watts) is also available here.

USB-C to 55x25mm universal adapter cable

The USB-C to 5.5×2.5mm adapter cable is the ideal solution in case your computer does not have a USB-C power port. Indeed, combined with the right tip, this cable fits into the USB-C port of the Gravity 100 on the one hand and into the power port of your computer on the other.

charge, laptop, power, bank

In order to ensure compatibility with your computer, we provide a set of adapters consisting of 12 tips. This also allows you to charge the computers of your relatives, friends as well as be compatible with your next computer.

Here, below, is an explanatory image of the different tips present in the adapter set.

Here are also the different types of computers that can be loaded with these tips:

AC chargers (for laptops without USB-C charging)

There is also the Gravity 500 which allows you to charge your computers, and all your other devices, just like on mains. It can charge all computers, smartphones, connected watches, Nintendo Switch etc. Also small portable fridge and television, for which it is necessary to check the minimum power supply required (max 300 Watts).

Using the Gravity 500 is extremely simple: you plug your laptop’s charging cable (also with EU plug) into it just as you would a regular power outlet.

The Gravity 500 is more expensive and heavier than most USB-C chargers. However, it has a much larger capacity (137,700 mAh / 500Wh) and it also allows for greater compatibility as mentioned above: you can plug in almost any device with a standard power connection. This is a universal power bank, which can work for a wide variety of devices in a wide variety of situations. It also incorporates 4 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port, a car charger port, AC and DC capability and an on-board display.

The Gravity 500 can be charged from the mains, via car power and at the sun with the Fusion 100 Watts.

The Gravity 144 offers similar benefits, in a smaller, more portable version:
