PowerCore III 10K Wireless

Charging Your Phone or Tablet Using Charging Cables

Charging Your Phone or Tablet Wirelessly

1 To activate the wireless charging function, press the power button. The wireless charging indicator will breathe blue.

2 For optimal charging performance, align your smartphone with the coil on the center of the charger. If no charging icon shows on your smartphone, adjust the way you place your phone. Make sure it is always placed on the center of the charger.

You cannot charge your device wirelessly in these scenarios:

o using a case with a magnetic / iron plateo using a case with a pop socketo using an ultra-thick ( 5 mm) protective phone case

  • Do not use an adapter with an output of 5V/1A (5W) or less.
  • Do not place any foreign objects between your device and the wireless charger’s surface, including metal pads on a car mount, credit cards, door keys, coins, metal, or NFC cards, which will make wireless charging fail or cause overheating.
  • Wireless chargers make charging more convenient than wired chargers, but confined by current wireless technology, their charging speed is slower than that of wired chargers.
  • High temperatures will reduce charging speed and restrict power, which is a phenomenon common to all wireless chargers. It is recommended that you charge your device in environments with temperatures below 25°C / 77°F.
  • Both the protective phone case and the position of your device on the wireless charger will affect the charging speed. The farther it is placed from the center of the wireless charger, the slower the charging speed will be.

The Best Wireless Chargers In 2023

Wireless charging is now mainstream, but not all wireless charges are built equal. Here are some of the best in the business!

Wireless charging has significantly evolved since its first few iterations. Modern wireless chargers are faster, more compact, and have better aesthetics in tow compared to their predecessors even as wireless charging standards get more uniform at the lower end of the spectrum.

Here are some of our best picks for wireless charging:

Belkin Quick Charge Wireless Charging Pad

mophie 4-in-1 Wireless Charging Mat

Anker 315 Wireless Charging Pad

OnePlus Warp Charge 50W Wireless Charger

Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger

Apple MagSafe Wireless Charger

Belkin Quick Charge Wireless Charging Pad

Excellent, Elegant Wireless Charging

The Belkin Quick Charge Wireless Charging Pad is a great wireless charger if you are looking to tick all your phone wireless charging boxes at a price that would be acceptable to most end-users while operating at a full 15W for some QI-enabled devices and being limited to 7.5W for iPhones.

  • Offers upto 15W of wireless charging to Android devices
  • Works with a wide variety of wireless charging-compliant devices
  • Excellent build quality on offer
  • Comes with an 18W/24W dedicated power adapter as part of the package
  • Is not certified to offer faster Apple wireless charging; capped to 7.5W as per Belkin
  • Can run a bit hot in 15W power delivery mode

The Belkin Quick Charge Wireless Charging Pad is an excellent offering that wirelessly charges all Qi-supported wireless charging iPhones in the market at a capped 7.5W and standard Android devices at up to 15W, making it a powerful charger that comes with its own adapter as part of the package. With great build quality and durability as part of the package, it can charge Android devices up to 15W at a time.

It does tend to run a bit hotter while charging newer Android devices at 15W than most of its competitors, but not at levels that would be concerning. While it does work with all devices, it is noticeably slower for Apple iPhones. If you must have fast charging on your iPhone, Belkin has a more expensive, albeit more premium USB-C powered alternative (no adapter included) that does deliver the full 15W that newer iPhones support for wireless charging.

mophie 4-in-1 Wireless Charging Mat

Elegant, Powerful Wireless Charging Support

The Mophie 4-in-1 Wireless Charging Mat is an elegant, premium wireless charging mat that should have even the most ardent of power users covered thanks to its ability to support as many as 4 QI wireless-charging devices at up to 10W each, with a total cap of 25W wireless charging at a time simultaneously including a spare USB port for 3rd party adapters (or the Apple Watch’s charger)

  • Supports as many as 4 devices with upto 10W of wireless charging per QI-compliant wireless charging device
  • Premium build quality compared to most if not all of its competitors
  • Comes with a dedicated power supply out of the box
  • Works flawlessly with all QI-Compliant hardware
  • Expensive, even when it trades at a discount or on sale compared to the competition
  • Requires the Apple Watch’s own power cable to power it for wireless charging

The Mophie 4-in-1 Wireless Charging Mat by Zagg is a capable and fashionable wireless charging mat that can charge as many as 4 compatible QI wireless charging-enabled devices simultaneously (capped at 25W total at a time, but you might have a hard time pushing for more). With premium build quality, an included power supply unit, and wide compatibility in play, it has you covered in more ways than one including an option to charge an Apple Watch if you need to (you do need the Apple Watch’s adapter to do so however, making it a bit of a sore sticking point on the no-cable-clutter claims by mophie).

The Mophie 4-in-1 Wireless Charging Mat does cover all but the most ardent of power users with plenty of power delivered wirelessly across multiple devices. While newer standards from both Apple and Android devices do push well north of 10W for wireless charging, it is at a cost of battery longevity in most cases and stable wireless charging is nothing to scoff at. That being said the charging mat does seem to be quite expensive compared to similar offerings that often trade at a fraction of its MSRP, but is a more approachable product when it is (and currently is) on sale.

Anker 315 Wireless Charging Pad

Low-Profile, Low-Cost Charging That Just Works

The Anker 315 Wireless Charging Pad is a quality offering that gets the job done when it comes to wireless charging; albeit a bit slower thanks to older wireless charging standards but supports a plethora of devices at a maximum charging speed of 10W while offering a relatively low price on tow to make it an appealing offering for people needing a sleek, compact wireless charger that just works effortlessly

  • Excellent Value for money compared to more expensive official wireless chargers from OEMs
  • Comes backed by Anker’s lifetime guarantee and excellent customer support
  • Is essentially plug and play and is a low profile offering that blends in easily with most desks
  • Has wide compatibility thanks to its support for QI charging
  • Does not come with a wall charger, meaning you have to buy one separately or use an existing one you may have
  • Uses Micro-USB versus USB Type C which is more commonplace of late, making switching cables a bit of a hassle down the line

The Anker 315 Wireless Charging Pad is an excellent charger that gets the job done without costing the proverbial arm and leg that most cutting-edge wireless chargers tend to while backed by Anker’s excellent customer support and lifetime warranty in tow. It must be noted that you need to buy a compatible wall charger or use a spare USB port on a PC nearby. Anker does recommend a 15W adapter while advertising QC 2.0 and 3.0 compatibility as part of its feature set.

Thanks to its support for QI wireless charging, it can charge pretty much every Android and Apple smartphone that supports the feature while also charging some of the usual wireless headphone charging cases that support the same. The one qualm we do have with is the limitation of 10W max charging, which is great for drip-feed charging or overnight use for most users, but might be a bit slower for some power users expecting more juice available to their smartphone within a few minutes of charging.

Anker does offer a solution to this with a 15W adaptive charger that can handle the higher power limits that some devices including newer iPhones have, but it does come at twice the price, albeit with a wall charger in tow.

OnePlus Warp Charge 50W Wireless Charger

The Fastest Charger If You Have The Phone To Match

The OnePlus Warp Charge 50W Wireless Charger is an excellent wireless charger with a unique ability to push as much as 50W of wireless charging with compatible OnePlus phones while offering standard charging speeds of up to 15W for other QI-compliant devices.

  • Outputs a mammoth 50W to compatible OnePlus devices in wireless mode
  • Has a fast 50W mode and a slower, silent mode that clocks in at a still-impressive sub-15W charging throughput
  • State of the art tech that is a unique selling point for the OnePlus product lineup
  • A well-packaged, well-built product that feels premium during regular use
  • Can get noisy at max capacity thanks to a built-in fan to cool the wireless charging mechanism
  • Only works with OnePlus Devices for its ultra-fast charging mode
  • Costly when you consider the cost of a 65W power adapter in two

The OnePlus Warp Charge 50W Wireless Charger is the fastest wireless charger money can buy, and you should consider it with one important caveat: It only works with recent OnePlus Pro devices, offering anywhere from 30W to 50W depending on the model. That being said, if you have a OnePlus Pro 8 through 10, it absolutely makes sense to consider what is essentially an outstanding feature for most power users that need extra juice and power throughout the day for a phone that already has an excellent battery in tow.

For most Android and Apple users, however, this behaves as a standard QI-enabled wireless charger with 2 modes: 5W and 15W charging depending on the extent of compatibility extended. For now, unless you have the latest and greatest OnePlus devices, this isn’t something that you benefit from purchasing, but one can’t help but cast a wistful glance at what is arguably the best-in-class wireless charger in terms of raw speed, even if it does get noisy at full capacity.

Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger

Reliable, Fast Charging With A Wired Option

The Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger also known as the Anker 533 wireless power bank is an excellent if slightly pricey power bank that offers up to 18W charging via its USB-C port, or wireless charging for QI-certified hardware of up to 10W with an included phone stand in tow to make it the complete portable charging package with wireless support in tow even if it lacks support for MagSafe magnets as part of its offerings.

  • Excellent Wireless charging on a portable power bank (10W for QI-enabled devices)
  • Powerful wired charging is also available for users wanting to charge faster (18W)
  • Can also charge other devices wirelessly while charging itself
  • No included compatible power adapter as part of the package
  • Lacks explicit MagSafe support (can still charge Apple devices, however)

The Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger is a capable power bank that also moonlights as an excellent power delivery system for both wired and wireless charging options for a plethora of QI-compliant wireless charging devices. With up to 18W on wired charging and 10W on wireless charging, the Anker PowerCore III 10k or Anker 533 wireless charging bank does support regular wireless charging and the ability to kick it up a notch on a moment’s notice on wired mode.

While it isn’t the most expensive power bank in the market to do so, the Anker offering is somewhat less appealing compared to the competition that offers much larger battery capacity at lower price points even if the formidable accessory company offers faster charging and excellent customer support as part of its value proposition to end-users. We feel an included power adapter that favors portability such as the Anker Nano 3/ Anker 311 would have tipped the scales considerably more in Anker’s balance as a more complete package.

The lack of MagSafe magnet support isn’t ideal for most Apple consumers, but it seems to be a tradeoff that does not bother us too much while the sturdy built-in phone stand is a very welcome addition for most users who want to mount their phone on the go from time to time.

Apple MagSafe Wireless Charger

The OG Apple Wireless Charger

The Apple MagSafe Wireless Charger is Apple’s de facto wireless charger for iPhones and compatible Apple AirPod charging cases and comes with a relatively high price tag attached in line with Apple’s premium pricing on accessories. It can charge up to 15W at a time for newer iPhones and charges all Airpods that shipped with or are equipped with a wireless charging case.

The Best Portable Chargers To Keep You Going On Long And Busy Days

Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own.

Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own.

It’s happened to all of us. You go out and realize you didn’t put the phone on the charger and your phone’s battery is low. Or you’re out all day, using power-hungry features like the camera, display or GPS, and now the battery is low and there’s no outlet in sight. Perhaps you’re simply working from a cafe that lacks outlets, and you want to power your laptop for the afternoon. The best portable chargers, like our pick for the best overall, the INIU B62 Power Bank, can keep you powered up and ready to go anytime, anywhere.

Carrying a portable charger is a great way to make sure you never miss a beat and always have available power for your most important devices, like your phone, tablet or laptop. For frequent travelers, a portable charger is a must have device. And since portable chargers come in a range of capacities and sizes, each with varying abilities, you may choose to keep multiple portable chargers on hand for different situations. Here are our top picks for the best portable chargers you can buy in 2023.

  • Best Portable Charger Overall:INIU B62 Power Bank
  • Best Portable Charger For iPhone: Apple MagSafe Battery Pack
  • Best Portable Charger With AC Outlet: Mophie PowerStation Pro AC
  • Best Portable Charger With Built-In Cables: Mophie PowerStation Plus
  • Best Portable Charger For Laptops: Baseus Laptop Power Bank
  • Best High-Power Portable Charger For Laptops: Anker 737 Power Bank
  • Best Portable Charger For Adventures: Anker 548 Power Bank
  • Best Qi Wireless Portable Charger: LionEnergy Eclipse

Best Portable Charger Overall

INIU B62 Power Bank

Battery capacity: 15,000mAh | Output ports: 2x USB-A, 1x USB-C | Size: 5.8 x 2.8 x 0.9 inches | Weight: 11.7 ounces | Display: Yes

Best for: Charging smartphones and tablets quickly.

INIU is a less recognizable name, but its lineup of power bank and charging accessories stands out from the crowd. The INIU B62 has a single USB-C port that supports up to 45-watt output with USB Power Delivery. That means you can use this versatile battery for charging a low-power laptop or a portable gaming system.

This model supports a range of fast-charging protocols, but it only handles up to Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. If you want to charge a QC 4.0 device, look at the INIUs B5 Power Bank, which has a similar physical design, adds QC 4.0 and can charge three devices simultaneously (but it lacks enough power output to charge a laptop). The B62 has a large LCD that shows your remaining power, and it has a grippy texture that resists scuffs and grit. Bonus: It comes with a nifty pull-out stand that works well to prop up a phone while it’s charging.

What the editors say: Tech editor Melissa Perenson notes, “This battery is a workhorse, handily charging up devices with surprising speed. It recharges quickly, too. It’s a little thick, but its rectangular design pairs well with a smartphone.”

Anker PowerCore III 10K

Battery capacity: 10,000mAh | Output ports: 1x USB-A, 1x USB-C | Size: 5.9 x 2.7 x 0.8 inches | Weight: 8.6 ounces

Best for: Mix of wired and wireless charging, in a slim design and mid-range capacity.

The Anker PowerCore III 10K hits a good balance between features, performance and price. The svelte, candy bar design houses 10-watt Qi wireless charging, with one each of USB-A and USB-C ports on the top edge. This model is slim, but not as slim as one Anker model. Nor does it have the magnetic attachment of Anker’s newer MagGo series. Or the power to handle charging a laptop or gaming system.

Despite those caveats, the PowerCore III 10K stands out for its balance of charging features and its performance—which was faster for both wired and wireless charging than on some competing models. This battery pairs well with a standard rectangular phone design, and it’s lightweight, too. The unit itself has a textured plastic case that did a better job withstanding scuffs than some of Anker’s other models. The chassis also has a built-in stand—a simple pull-out bracket to prop up your phone. However, the recessed power button is a bit awkwardly placed.

What the editors say: “This model’s Qi wireless gives it an edge over the typical portable charger with the same capacity,” says tech editor Melissa Perenson. “I especially liked this battery’s light weight, and how easy it was to hold alongside an iPhone or Android phone.”

  • Textured case keeps fingerprints and scuffs away
  • Qi wireless charging at 10 watts
  • Built-in stand

Best Portable Charger For iPhone

Apple MagSafe Battery Pack

Battery capacity: Unavailable | Ports: MagSafe (wireless) only | Size: 3.8 x 2.5 x 0.4 inches | Weight: 6.4 ounces

Best for: iPhone users who want a small MagSafe battery pack.
