Pretty good
I got this so when I dry camp I can use my CPAP. I do have some concerns, nothing too significant but here they are: I charged it as soon as I got it, FedEx liked it so much the held it for day 🙁 it had zero charge. Just over a month later it had lost 2% of its charge, I did not randomly keep checking either. So I topped it off. Used 2 nights just over 13 hours for CPAP and phone charge 1x this took the unit to 32% so I may get 18 hours max on one charge that may be because I have a humidifier. Also you state any vehicle built after the 1950’s can charge it, nope, 1987 Toyota Motorhome failed to even light up info panel so now it’s guaranteed I will have to make stops in an RV park every 2-3 days for 24 hours to fully charge. A bit of a bummer for this next big trip of 5000 miles. All issues are livable just a bit inconvenient. I still love it (having my CPAP nightly is awesome) and the concept and for a normal camping trip it may be great, just this next one isn’t as leisurely as most of mine are.

The overall footprint of this power bank is handy for the capacity that you’re getting. However, the output power is average so you can’t charge devices like laptops.
The Anker 337 is a 26800mAh power bank which means it is safe to carry on airplanes. Considering the efficiency parameters, you can expect to charge a phone with a 5000mAh battery about 4 times. There are 3 USB-A ports onboard that you can use to simultaneously charge 3 different devices at once.
As for the input, you get 2 micro-USB ports onboard which is unique. You can use both ports simultaneously to charge the power bank at a combined charging speed of 20W. Anker claims that you can charge the power bank fully in about 6 hours using both ports together and a fast-charging adapter.
The biggest drawback of this power bank is the lack of fast charging for both the input and output. You can charge phones at a maximum of 15W which seems a bit archaic. It’s still decent for the price and the capacity you’re getting, though.

This high-capacity power bank from Baseus is useful if you want to charge laptops while you’re on the go. The 20000mAh capacity is slightly lower than the other power banks on this list but by no means is it small. Unlike most power banks of this capacity, this one is slim but slightly larger and almost resembles a passport.
There are 2 USB-C ports onboard with one of them used for both input and output. You also get 2 USB-A ports to charge phones or smaller accessories. Baseus has also provided a small display to check the remaining battery level. Apart from the 100W output, the power bank itself can charge at 65W which means you get a full charge in almost 1.5 hours.

Choosing a power bank
I’ve used every type of power bank out there, from tiny ones intended to simply keep an iPhone going through a long travel day, to ones designed to keep you tech happy for a full weekend off-grid trip.
Choosing the right power bank for your own needs will depend on your intended usage. There’s of course a balance between capacity on the one hand, and size/weight/price on the other.
For most, I think the sweet-spot is a power bank that charges quickly, slips easily into a bag, will keep an iPhone charged for a weekend, but also has the power to keep a MacBook going all day when required. That’s the target market for the Excitrus. Additionally, iPhone charging is wireless – but we’ll get to that.
Excitrus: Look feel
The Excitrus measures around 8 inches by 3 inches by one inch, and weighs a little over a pound. That’s a little hefty for ability, but will happily slip into any bag.
The look and feel of the device is one of its selling points. Most power banks are pretty anonymous-looking, with black the dominant color in evidence. The Excitrus, in contrast, is an attractive green color. There’s a glossy black plastic surround, but the rest is covered in a fabric which both looks and feels premium. The feel also offers a solid grip, making it unlikely to slip from your hands.
The wireless charging side is indicated by a white cross, and the Excitrus logo. This works with any MagSafe iPhone, Airpods, and any device supporting Qi charging.
One side has a power button, the other a white display, showing the percentage remaining. The top has one USB-A port and two USB-C ports, of which one is both input and output, while the other is output only.
Specifications
Maximum combined output is 103W, and you can draw 100W of that from a single USB-C port, making it suitable for any MacBook, including the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
As always, charging or powering multiple devices will reduce the power available on any one port, but it can cope with simultaneously powering smaller MacBooks, iPad Pro, iPhone, and Airpods.
The power bank itself charges at 65W, and using my MacBook charger got a 70% charge in an hour, and a full charge in less than two hours.
MagSafe in all but name
You’ll note that the full name of the device is the Excitrus 100W Magnetic Wireless Power Bank, and not Excitrus 100W MagSafe Wireless Power Bank. That’s presumably because the company hasn’t paid the licence fee required to use MagSafe branding.
However, I found zero difference in practice between this and a MagSafe charger. My iPhone 13 Pro Max magnetically attaches to the charger in the right position to charge, and the connection feels equally strong. My phone remained firmly in place when holding the charger at a 45-degree angle, and even just held when I very carefully turned it upside-down (not that I would recommend it!).
In use
For iPhone charging with any MagSafe model, just place the phone on the pad and press the power button. I’d prefer it if just placing the phone down woke the charger, but it’s easy enough to press the button too.
It’s a bit odd to have the percentage power indicator on the opposite side – it would make more sense to me to have it right next to the power button.
For use in coffee shops and similar, it’s a convenient arrangement, and I was able to use my iPhone on the pad while keeping it it at 100% capacity.
The wireless charger works with the phone either way up (top or bottom of the phone at the wired ports end), which makes it flexible when you want to use both wired and wireless charging simultaneously – like charging your phone and MacBook simultaneously.
Performance
My personal preference for using power banks is to have the charger power them while they are in use, so that the device batteries remain at 100%. In that way, if the power bank runs out, I still have full capacity available on the devices. So for extended use, I drain the power bank first, then the devices.
The Excitrus worked perfectly well in this way, letting me simultaneously use my iPhone 13 Pro Max and M1 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro (for everyday tasks) without using any built-in power. In this mode, it kept my MacBook powered for 12 hours without running out, and the company says that it would keep an iPhone 13 Pro powered for 75 hours.
Others prefer to run the devices on their own batteries and then use the power bank to recharge them overnight; the 20,800mAh was enough to fully recharge both devices from 10% overnight. For iPhone top-up charges, it delivers around an 80% charge in one hour, wirelessly.

As I said earlier, I think this unit hits the sweet spot for many. It is sufficiently affordable and portable to be something you can keep as part of your standard tech bag contents, while also providing enough power and longevity to meet everyday needs.
Wireless iPhone charging is of course more convenient than having to use a cable, and I think this is going to quickly become an expected feature now for all but low-end power banks.

A power bank, also commonly referred to as a portable charger, is an essential purchase for anyone who’s on the go with a phone, tablet, or a gaming handheld like a Nintendo Switch or a Steam Deck. It lets you recharge your precious gadgets one or more times via a USB connection, so you can keep talking, texting, or gaming throughout the day.
Best portable charger for your phone and tablet
Today’s phones and tablets may differ in terms of their peak wired charging speeds, yet we’ve found some battery packs that should work well no matter what device you have. It’s true that some outliers, like Samsung’s Galaxy S23 phone, can recharge at 25 W or higher depending on the model, but many other Android phones and iPhones recharge via a wired connection at under 20 W — even less when you’re charging wirelessly.
How to pick the best power bank/portable charger for you
Get one that lists the Power Delivery capability (noted as “PD” in the specs), and it should ideally match, or come close to, the peak charging speeds (in watts) of the devices that you intend to charge with it.
The batteries we recommend for phones and tablets are also a good pick for the Nintendo Switch. However, the Steam Deck needs more juice, as do some mightier laptops that can receive power via USB-C.
In terms of tablets, picking either of the two power bank options we recommend below should be a good fit for what you may have. For reference, all iPads currently ship with 20 W power adapters, and so far, tablets from other manufacturers like Samsung and Amazon haven’t deviated far from that charging speed.

Best power bank for your Steam Deck
Each Steam Deck console includes a 45 W USB-C wall adapter, so it’s a good idea to find a power bank that can meet that power level when you’re on the go. Thankfully, some options exist that can do this. Best portable charger for your laptop
The number of laptops that can recharge via USB-C is growing, making it possible to use the same charger to refill your laptop as you do your phone or Nintendo Switch. For instance, Apple’s entire MacBook lineup allows it, as do several popular Windows laptops, like the Dell XPS 13, Razer’s Blade gaming laptop, and more. The thing is, different laptops have different power requirements, so one power bank may not work well across multiple laptops.
If you have a 13-inch MacBook Air or Pro, or a similarly sized Windows laptop, the chances are very good that a 65 W power bank should be fast enough to recharge your laptop as you use it (check your power supply’s wattage to be sure). Keep in mind that if you’re trying to play games, or do other resource-intensive tasks, your battery may recharge slowly, or it may continue to discharge if your power bank isn’t powerful enough.
