Are 20000mAh power banks allowed on flights?
As you may already know, airlines enforce a strict 100Wh limit on flights. However, it’s not always clear how much that means in mAh, since this is the measure of capacity that most people are familiar with. Is a 2000mAh power bank over or under the 100Wh limit?
A 20000mAh capacity translates to 74Wh, falling below the 100Wh limit. This means you can safely take any 20000mAh power bank on flights. Just be sure to have them in your carry-on luggage and not in your checked-in one.
To prevent any issues from arising at the airport, you should make sure that the Wh or the mAh capacity is clearly displayed on the power bank. If the capacity is not visible on the product, you may have issues in some airports as they won’t be able to tell the exact capacity of your device. This is especially true when traveling internationally, where rules may be more strict.
How many 20000mAh power banks can you take on a flight?
TSA does not specify the maximum amount that you can take on board when it comes to batteries that are under 100Wh. In the same way, they do not specify a maximum limit for mobile phones or laptops. However, we advise you not to go overboard and bring a lot of them with you. You might be pushing your luck that way. But 2-3 20000mAh power banks should go through security without an issue.
How to determine the Wh value of any power bank and/or battery
Since the majority of power banks have their capacity in mAh instead of Wh, this might be a bit confusing at first. But with a simple conversion, you can easily see what the Wh capacity of your portable charger is.
What is the maximum mAh allowed on a plane?
The maximum battery capacity you’re allowed to bring on a plane is 100Wh or around 27000mAh. Even though they come in a wide range of voltages and ratings, an average 3.7V power bank would have to be approximately 27000mAh before going over the 100Wh limit. As long as it displays “3.6V” or “3.7V” with a number close to 27000mAh, chances are that it’s ok to take on a flight.
However, power banks between 100Wh and 160Wh can still be taken aboard a plane with you, but they will need special airline approval. If you have one with a large capacity, you should find out how many Wh it has. Then you will need to contact the airline at least 72 hours prior to your flight to inform them your device is over 100Wh. As long as it’s below 160Wh, the airline will let you through security. If you need more power, you can carry up to two extra batteries in carry-on bags as long as they don’t exceed 160Wh each.
Anything over 160Wh would cause issues solely because it’s classified as dangerous cargo and they will require special permissions to take aboard a plane. Just for reference, a 160Wh power bank is approximately 44000mAh at 3.6V.
There is also a rule that you are required to follow when it comes to boarding a flight with a power bank. Since power banks contain a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, it needs to be stored in your carry-on bag. This is because it’s a lot safer to keep them in an area where they can be monitored. Keeping it in the cargo hold is more dangerous than storing it in the cabin because it’s harder to notice if it catches fire. This is especially true for large-capacity power banks rated 20000mAh or higher since they could be more explosive than the others with a lower rating.
Accidentally taking a large capacity power bank on a flight or putting it in checked luggage isn’t very likely to cause a huge problem. Most likely you will be required to take it out from your baggage, but in some cases, your device may be confiscated by the airport security.
All-in-all 20000mAh power banks are completely fine to take on a plane. In fact, you can have two 2000mAh power banks with you on any given flight without any issue. Just make sure that the capacity is clearly printed on one of the sides of the device, especially if traveling internationally.

Intro
The bigger the power bank, the longer it will take to recharge right? Not any more, EasyAcc has managed to rewrite the rule book with it’s latest portable charger. As far as I know, this is the first of it’s kind, so congratulations to EasyAcc for their innovation.
Until now external batteries have been limited to a max input of 2A. This isn’t such a big deal on a relatively small portable charger, but once you get beyond 10000mAh, the recharge times can be considerable. A 20000mAh power bank can take a whopping 12 hours. The new EasyAcc PB20000MS has it down to just 6 hours, pretty impressive considering it will have enough juice for 8 iPhone-6 charges.
EasyAcc Monster 20000mAh Power Bank – Review
The EasyAcc Monster power bank has a ‘handle friendly’ design. It’s chamfered sides and rounded edges combined with its very smooth matte surface feels comfortable in the hand. At 168mm x 80mm the battery pack is a touch too big to call size, however, it is relatively slim at only 22mm.
There’s a battery status button on the right that display tiny white LED indicator lights on the front of the power bank to let you know how much charge is remaining. It’s got 4 USB Smart outputs and an impressively bright LED torch on the top face which you can toggle on and off by double tapping the button. I’ve been using the torch as a reading light in bed, and it’s absolutely ideal.
Most of the features on this portable charger are pretty standard for a high capacity power bank, with the exception of one. The EasyAcc has a huge input of 4A – twice the norm. Achieved by the introduction of a second input port, It’s the only external battery with this feature, halving the recharge time when compared to other 20000mAh power banks currently available.
To make use of this impressive feature, you will need to either have 2 independent power adapters with USB inputs or a plug with two or more ports. I used my iPad mains adapter and another for charging my Asus Transformer. I’ve since ordered one of these. so I can connect both cables to a single socket.
As well as the huge input, the Monster also delivers a very generous max output. The vast majority of high capacity power banks will put out around 3.5A, this external battery gives out 4.8A. Spread over 4 Smart ports, 4.8A can easily charge 4 smartphones simultaneously or a tablet and 2 others phones at full speed.
- Capacity: 20000mAh
- Battery type: Lithium-Ion battery cell
- Input: DC 5V 4A
- Output: DC 5V 4.8A
- Size: 167x 80 x 22 mm
- Weight: 454g
EasyAcc Monster 20000mAh Power Bank – Verdict
I have been hugely impressed with all of the EasyAcc external batteries I’ve tested over the last year. Whenever I’m in need of a power bank, more often than not, it’s the EasyAcc I take. Aside from the extremely low price, they each have a unique feature for a particular use.
For a day to day power bank I always take the PB4000CB, if I’m planning on hiking for the weekend, I’ll pack the fully waterproof PB9000TP model. I have no doubt that this 20000mAh Monster will be my go-to portable power source for longer trips with the family and for general use around the house.
The PB20000MS is exceptionally good value for money and comes well packaged with a high quality multi-language instruction manual.
With Christmas fast approaching, the EasyAcc Monster could be the ideal gift for those who enjoys spending time on their tablet or Smartphone.

We’ve done tons of reviews on power banks on this site, and at this point, there’s likely a portable charger for every person’s needs. There are small ones that may not have a lot of power capacity but are incredible; some power banks feature fast charging. In contrast, others don’t, and others are brimming on becoming portable power stations simply because they have so much power.
We’re looking at this Baseus Blade 100W power bank in this review. This Baseus portable charger may be the only one you’ll ever need if you find its charging power enough for your needs, and we think you will after knowing what it’s capable of.
Power Capacity:
The power capacity of this Baseus Blade portable charger is 20,000mAh. Now there are a lot of power banks on the market that has higher capacities, but a 20,000mAh capacity is just enough to charge most portable devices. This power bank can charge up most phones to full power three times or more. Tablets and laptops with larger batteries will fair about a single full charge, and you’ll have some spare capacity to use later.
You’ll be able to depend on this power bank for more than a single day, and that’s a lot better than lower-capacity power banks that require a recharge after a single use.
Output Charging:
The charging front of the Baseus Blade is what we view to be the best part of this charger. This power bank has a 100W max output, two USB-C Power Delivery ports, and two USB-A ports. If you’re charging from USB-C 1 or USB-C 2 alone, you can use the total 100W if the device accepts that much power.
Charging multiple devices splits the 100W output between the ports, and that’s why this Baseus Blade power bank is incredible, as you can still charge a laptop and fast charge another three devices if you want to. That’s what we did.
For our test, we began charging with a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 laptop via USB-C 1, and it could charge at its max charging speed of about 30W. We then started charging a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from the USB-C 2 port and an LG G7 from the USB-A 1 port; the Galaxy Note 9 and the LG G7 could charge fast while the Lenovo laptop was charging from this power bank.
We also tested a Samsung Galaxy S20 via USB-C 2, and it was able to Superfast charge, the means that USB-C 2 on this power bank features Programmable Power Supply (PPS) charging. Overall, the ability to charge a laptop and fast charge multiple other devices gives you the best portable charger can offer.
Input Charging:
Recharging the Baseus Blade power bank is almost as good as the output charging, and we say “almost” because it doesn’t have a 100W recharge rate. Instead, the power bank has a 65W max input. A 65W recharge speed is still fast for a 20,000mAh power capacity; you must use a 65W Power Delivery wall charger to recharge the power bank for the best recharge time.

This power bank doesn’t have a wall charger, but a USB-C to USB-C charging cable is included in the box.
Size and Weight:
The form factor of the Baseus Blade power bank is unlike anything we’ve seen compared to other power banks. It’s such a flat and thin power bank, and we love this design; as most 20,000mAh power banks take a more cylindrical shape, this power bank offers a different shape while still being just as portable.
The charger has a length of 6 inches, a width of 5 inches, and a thinness of 0.7 inches. The weight of the power bank is 1 pound. Not exactly a small power bank, but it’s still easier to carry in hand and lightweight for everyday usage.
Functional Components:
Using this power bank is like most others, with charging automatically starting once you plug a device into the power bank. The one significant part not found on most power banks is that this one has an LCD showing the remaining power capacity, charging output, and time until the power bank is fully depleted. Having all this different info displayed on LCD is awesome; sure, most won’t care about the charging output, but having the timing of how long you can still use the power bank gives peace of mind.
Structure and Material:
The build quality of this power bank is excellent; just as other Baseus products are, this one is built well. There are no loose parts, yes the entire power bank is made of plastic, but having it made of Aluminum Alloy would make it even more expensive and weigh heavier; the charger is meant for everyday use, but remember, it doesn’t have a rugged build, so be careful not to drop it from a high fall as that could break it.
Tech:
When we charged three devices simultaneously, the power bank did get warm but not hot, and that’s what we expected, as chargers of all types always generate heat.
Reliability
If you have a USB-C laptop, this Baseus power bank is a must if you don’t mind the price. The charger has a high capacity, 100W output, and four ports, including two USB-C PD ports and two USB-A Quick Charge ports. The 100W output is the driving force behind the reliability. It gives you a more comprehensive range of devices to charge, big or small, and you can simultaneously charge those more significant and small devices with this power bank.
Summary:
Charging is top tier from this Baseus slim blade power bank with a 100W max output, two USB-C ports, and two USB-A Quick Charge ports to utilize high output power.
This power bank has the form factor, and we love it. Most power banks tend to be cylinder-shaped and quite thick.
The build quality is strong, and the charger only gets warm when charging multiple devices simultaneously.
If you have a USB-C laptop, you need this power bank.
Conclusion:
The Baseus Blade slim 20,000mAh 100W Slim power bank goes all out with its four ports, an incredible and plentiful capacity that is a must for anyone with USB-C chargeable devices.
